Balance Credit is a licensed lender in multiple states, and a licensed credit services organization in Texas and Ohio. At present, Balance Credit is licensed to do business with residents in California, Missouri, Ohio, Texas and Utah.

In certain states, Balance Credit offers unsecured loans. This means the borrower does not have to provide collateral (a pledge to give up property if the loan is not paid back). In Texas and Ohio, Balance Credit provides credit services to help you get a loan from an unaffiliated third party lender.
Do I need to be a certain age to apply for a loan?
This depends on the state where you are applying from, but in most cases you need to be at least 18 to apply for a loan.

Typically, the following streams of revenue are considered as sources of viable income (other conditions may apply):

- Unemployment Insurance
- Alimony and Child Support Payments
How do I apply for a loan or credit services?
You can apply here. You will need your Social Security number, the number for the checking account you want us to put the money in, a valid email address, home phone number and/or cell phone number, your net take-home pay, and your driver’s license or state-issued identification number.
What agreements do I have to agree to receive a loan or credit services?
When you apply with us you must agree to the terms and conditions set forth in the agreement(s) and disclosures provided. You should read these documents carefully as they include important terms and conditions relating to your loan. You will also be required to agree to the Consent to Electronic Communications Policy and Privacy Notice(s). Other terms and conditions may apply.
What type of bank account can I use to apply?
To apply for a loan or credit services with Balance Credit you will need to have a checking account or a savings account with unlimited debit & credit privileges. When you apply you will enter your bank routing number as well as the checking or savings account number on the application.
What can I use the loan proceeds for?

How do I get my application results?

How quickly will I know if my loan or credit services are approved?
When you finish your online application, you’ll click “Submit My Application.” In most cases you’ll see a message within seconds telling you if your application is approved.
How fast will I get the money?
If your signed application is approved before 6:30 PM Central Time (7:30 PM Eastern/4:30 PM Pacific) on a weekday, the money will typically be deposited into your bank account by the lender the next business day (provided it is not a bank holiday). If the next day is a bank holiday, then funds will be delayed one additional day. Applications processed over the weekend will not typically fund until at least the following Tuesday.
How much money can I borrow?
Anywhere from $100 to $3,000 to approved borrowers; however, minimum and maximum loan amounts vary by state. Loan approval and amounts are based on state law, minimum income amounts and other credit criteria. What does it cost to borrow money?
As long as your payments are on time, your cost is only the accrued interest on your loan. Interest rates vary by state. If your payment is late you will be charged a late fee and possibly an NSF (Non-Sufficient Funds) fee. There are no application fees. Your payment amount, APR (Annual Percentage Rate), total finance charges, CSO Fees (where applicable), and first payment date are clearly explained in the loan agreement, so you’ll never be surprised with unexpected charges. How do I repay my loan?
Loan payments are made bi-weekly (every other week), semi-monthly or monthly. Most borrowers make these payments by automatic deductions from their checking accounts. You simply need to be sure you have sufficient funds in your account on the day the automatic payment is made. Can I prepay my loan?
There are no penalties for early or additional prepayments. If your budget allows, we encourage you to:
- Pay off your loan as early as possible. The earlier you pay it off, the more you’ll save on finance charges.
- Pay extra on your due dates. This will reduce your number of future payments and save you money on the finance charge.
May I make an early or additional payment?
Yes, you can make early payments or additional payments. When you do that it typically helps save you finance charges along the way. You will never be charged any sort of pre-payment penalty.
What do I do if I can’t make a payment on time?
First, don’t panic. If you need extra time we’ll talk with you about payment extensions or other arrangements that meet your needs. What if I change bank accounts?
If you no longer have the bank account you used for receiving funds and making payments, you must notify Balance Credit at least five business days before your next scheduled payment. I’m using Internet Explorer and having a hard time applying. What can I do?
Balance Credit currently only supports Internet Explorer version 9 and above. If you are having difficulty using the site with an earlier version, you can upgrade to the latest version of Explorer or on an alternative browser such as FireFox or Chrome.
